THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND FOR ANOTHER GREAT EVENT! WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN NEXT YEAR!
The 11th annual Western Pennsylvania State Grappling Championships is slated for Oct 21, 2017. We are one of the largest and longest running Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling tournaments in the tri-state area. With multiple gi and no-gi divisions, our event helped to establish the competitive jiu-jitsu scene in this area and now attracts competitors from across the northeast. With teams traveling from as far as New York and Canada to compete, the Western PA BJJ Championships are a must-attend for any serious competitor.

Kids Must Pre-register by Midnight on Tuesday, October 17th
Please remember that by Tuesday, October 17th all competitors ages 17 and under must be pre-registered to participate in this event. We do this to ensure that the divisions are as fair as possible and to ensure that things move quickly on tournament day. Parents and Coaches – competitors 17 and under will be asked to state an “estimated weight” during the registration process. COMPETITORS MUST ACTUALLY WEIGH IN WITHIN 5 POUNDS OF THEIR ESTIMATED WEIGHT, OR THEY MAY BE DISQUALIFIED! We have had problems with this in the past – please do not guess about your competitor’s weight during the registration process.
Weigh-ins will be at Steel City Martial Arts in Castle Shannon, PA (http://www.steelcitymartialarts.com/) on Friday, October 20th from Noon to 7:00 p.m., and at the Tournament on Saturday, October 21st beginning at 8:00 a.m. All Kids and Teens must weigh-in by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday! Adults may weigh-in by 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
